We are currently awaiting response for planning permission for my single storey rear extension to increase the size of the kitchen in my home with the aim to have this by next year and then for work to commence.So far the process has been as smooth as can be expected. Pav came out as the lead consultant to discuss the plans we had for our extension and his vision matched mine in terms of how I envisioned the extension can look. He explained what will be included and what will not be included very clearly to avoid any misunderstandings and answered all our questions accordingly. He was able to quote us a price within our budget and so we were very happy to proceed that day.A WhatsApp group has since been created for us where we are provided with regular updates and all queries raised have so far also been answered in timely manner.I will post in full once the final project is completed for full update with pictures but so far it’s been a great start 👍

West Midlands Double Glazing have just finished the installation of a thermal roof on our conservatory. The two fitters Gurmail and Hameshi worked long and expertly into the late evening by searchlight at the darkest time of the year in order to meet our tight deadline before going on holiday. They ensured the conservatory was waterproof and secure during the initial stages when Storm Darragh was raging. The plasterers were a formidable and happy team who also worked to high standards. We would recommend West Midlands Double Glazing.

We had an old conservatory roof replaced with a new warmer roof and skylights, and old patio doors replaced with 5m bifold doors. The team were quick to work and book in dates for installation, and all sorted within 3 months of the first meeting! It looks great!

Our West Midlands Double Glazing journey started in April 2024. We had a lovely sales appointment with Julian and felt comfortable, assured and confident. We paid our deposit for our conservatory and agreed to go ahead.This confidence lasted approx 4 weeks. In May we received an invoice from a Hotmail address purporting to be WMG requesting a payment of over £1000 for "building consents". Obviously this sounded like a massive scam. WMG confirmed this is a real email address and we had no choice but to pay to continue our build. We had not been told to expect any outlay beyond the deposit. Seems like a pretty hefty thing to tell people at a sales appointment.The build started in mid-June, a little later than we would have liked considering Julian had assured us we would be enjoying the conservatory for the summer. The first day the team are ripping through our lawn- brilliant! But wait, they're dumping it on a piece of tarp thrown across mine and my neighbours driveway? They told us there would be a skip (there wasn't during this phase of the build). We manage to address this quite easily and everything seems to go ahead nicely.Then the inspections start (this is apparently what we paid £1k for). We receive an email stating that there is "excessive glazing" in the design and any future work is "at our own risk" - WHAT?! We relentlessly asked for an explanation about this and were brushed off, told SAP calculations had been sent (and then later sent at a different point?) and overall just received no communication around this. We were horrified- what if these issues impacted on the build, on our home? Nobody was in a rush to explain, reassure us or resolve the issue- we continued to receive emails about these concerns for several weeks.We raised an informal complaint fairly early on due to poor communication. The project manager, Baaz, came to our door and promised he would do everything in his power to make the rest of our build better than it had been. (Spoiler: this did not happen). After the brickwork was complete, we had no contact for 10 days. We tried to follow up with the team via WhatsApp (they create a group for the build, which is great for keeping a timeline of every failing!) and were surprised to be asked to confirm the design of the conservatory! The design was different to the original plan and I enquired as to why this was- I eventually got an explanation that this had been suggested by the inspector.We are now in late July. We get another message 8 days later asking us to confirm the door design- again, things that we assumed were already agreed and being delivered. They contact us advising they can continue the build at the end of August, which I point-blank rejected- they were then able to bring this forward to mid-August. At this time, their social media accounts started proclaiming that they could undertake "any conservatory build in just 6 weeks!" You can imagine how I felt. As I could get no communication from the team, I started asking via public FB posts. Suffice to say, they are no longer claiming they can do this work in 6 weeks.We raised a formal complaint. We were offered 2 time slots for the CEO to visit us- neither convenient- and made it clear we were ready to escalate to the financial ombudsman if they did not prioritise our complaint and our build. This seemed to do the trick and Pav visited us to explain SAP calculations, explain the delays to the build, and reach an agreement as to how to proceed. A further 2 weeks later the build was complete.Baaz continued to insist the problems were due to supply chain issues, unprompted, daily. We continued to reiterate that we understand delays happen, and that our complaint was about the fact that THEY DID NOT TELL US ANYTHING.The conservatory is beautiful- we are thrilled with it. But let's be real- it's a conservatory. This isn't Grand Designs. You can probably get as good a build from hundreds of other places without all the delays, poor communication, and hidden charges.

We used West Midlands Double glazing to construct an orangery, after receiving quotes from other companies in the area these stood out for being one of the most competitive. They have done a superb job from start to finish through the whole of the process . Everything went smoothly from the skip arriving to finishing the last clean up of the area. The workman are friendly and highly skilled at their profession.Nothing is too much trouble.Highly recommended and would definitely use again.One very happy customer.

A professionnal company. Overall communication was good and the work completed was of a very good standard. The people who completed the work were amazing. My only criticism would be that I wanted the finance option and they kept saying the system to use finance kept glitching and I ended up just paying the full amount half before and half after to hurry the process. Also the date of installation was delayed a week. However I am very happy with the price and end product.

I have a very positive review for the work which was carried out for my rear extension. WMDG are very professional from the day one and their responsiveness to any questions are quite quick.
